Why donate to a free site?
Ad revenue covers basic costs, but it doesn't fund the research time that goes into a new calculator — verifying formulas, checking material figures against manufacturer specs, and testing edge cases before it goes live. Donations are what let new tools get built faster, and let existing ones stay accurate as industry standards change.
A few honest notes
- Donations are voluntary support for an independent site — they are not tax-deductible, since this isn't a registered nonprofit.
- The calculators are and will remain completely free to use whether or not you donate.
- Donating doesn't remove ads or unlock anything — it simply funds ongoing development.
